Emergence

Following the theme of "Radical self acceptance", the narrative across the three pieces follows the story of a girl starts to realize that she no longer wants to wear her skin and wants to shed it, but those around her are worried for her. They express concern, telling her she will be ugly and a monster. Despite this, she sheds her skin and experiences a euphoria like never before. I chose to incorporate a bug motif in order to harken to the idea of a bug emerging from a cocoon, turning into what they were meant to become.
